Description: Commercial / OTR Tire Tech General Description:Perform alignment and Tire service for commercial vehicles and large equipment, inside shop and outside roadside and customer yard work.
Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Duties Include: - Inspect vehicles using commercial TIA standards and Advise customer and or management of necessary repairs. - Align front ends and suspension systems, using alignment equipment - Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls. - Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks. - Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks. - Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to all shop machinery, boom and hook. - Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks. - Perform general housekeeping duties. - Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Requirements: - Prior commercial tire experience preferred. - Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. - The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment. - Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group. - Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well. Reliable Transportation to work and a good Daily Attendance. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season. - Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception). - Sense of sound (Alarms, horns, and motorized equipment). - PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear).
