Job Description:
The Training Coordinator, under the direction of the Training
Supervisor, is responsible for developing, implementing, and
coordinating employee training and development programs to address
emerging needs or knowledge gaps. This role involves creating,
reviewing, and updating training materials, standardizing documents
according to ISO policy, as well as onboarding, training,
evaluating, and coaching trainers. The Training Coordinator will
also facilitate leadership development training sessions, manage
training-related tasks, and ensure the overall effectiveness of the
training program. Additionally, the role serves as a liaison
between Management and Production Supervisors to determine manpower
training needs for the department. Support all UniFirst Company
Policies including goals as described in UniFirst Mission
Statement, Guiding Principles, and Core Values. Job will require
participation and compliance to all policies and procedures related
to ISO (quality) and safety. Functions of this position may require
occasional internet access and regular use of UniFirst E-Mail. This
will require annual review and acceptance of UniFirst's; electronic
Record Retention and Internet Policy; Understanding and compliance
with the Company's Statement of Corporate Policy and Code of
Conduct (The Code of Conduct) as well as the Electronic Records
Retention Policy and Electronic Records Usage Guidelines. Travel,
within and outside the United States may be required.
Responsibilities: -
Develop and implement new training
programs to address emerging needs, collaborating with the
functional training team to create, review, and update materials.
Train, evaluate, and coach trainers on methodologies and metrics.
Facilitate leadership trainings and new hire onboarding. Analyze
trends in training data and take necessary actions. Manage
incomplete trainings, surveys, and checklists. Identify low
performers and work with trainers to develop improvement plans.
Meet regularly with trainers to discuss program updates. Plan,
prepare, and coordinate employee training using in-plant (OJT),
electronic-web-based, classroom, or a combination of methods.
Develop and modify training programs, including accountability and
evaluation. Recruit, select, orient, and train trainers. Log and
track attendance for non-exempt personnel, administering
disciplinary actions when applicable. Coordinate trainee
evaluations with Supervisors and Human Resources. Track trainee
productivity and quality throughout the training period. Maintain
harmony and resolve grievances by advising and counseling trainees
and trainers. Study and standardize procedures, preparing
work/training schedules as required. Seek opportunities for
continuous development by researching new technologies, techniques,
materials, and equipment. QualificationsRequirements: -
Bachelor's degree in Business or
related field from an accredited college or university; or three to
five years of embroidery or other production management; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong skills
in planning and scheduling. Language Skills
Ability to read, write, speak, and
understand English, to comprehend and write general business
correspondence, interpret internal production documentation,
equipment manuals, technical bulletins, container labels, MDS, and
other written internal documentation. Ability to communicate and
respond to questions from management, staff, and customers. Media
Development and Technical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply
and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as
fractions, percentages, ratios, and percent. Must be able to
interpret bar graphs and charts. Physical Demands and Work
Environment
While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands
to finger; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and
hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust
focus. This function my require standing, walking, or performing
other functions within the Production floor, at 1-2 hour intervals.
Employee may be exposed to moderate to loud noise. May be
occasionally exposed to fumes when traveling through other work
areas. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) may be required when
working in or traveling through other designated work areas.
