Job Description:
Modis, one of America's top IT staffing firms, has a contract role
for a Desktop Build Technician who will be tasked primarily doing
tech refresh work. 6 month contract with possibility of extension.
Job is based in Louisville, KY with driving required to various
locations within KY.
Assignment Description: PC Tech Refresh – the scope of
this project is to replace client PCs that are 3 or 4 years old.
Technician will be required to perform needs assessment
(hardware & software) and builds for client PCs. In addition
the Technician may be needed to help provide Level 3 support for
sites in the Louisville area.
Skill Set Requirements and Capabilities: Working
knowledge of Windows 7, Ethernet topology, TCP/IP protocol, and
Microsoft products. Must have excellent customer service
skills, ability to follow standards and procedures, follow through
with pending details, and pay attention to detail.
Special Requirements: Must have reliable
transportation. This position will require the individual to
complete installs at various work sites within the Louisville area.
Mileage will be reimbursed at IRS approved rate.
Level of Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Desktop
Technician and experience doing tech refreshes.
Successful candidates will be proven self starters and be able to
take direction and work well within a team environment.
Required Certification: A+ certification desired
