Job Description:
Coverage Need Details- Each locum on assignment will receive a
notification to their phone the night before their shift informing
them which location to report.
OT Rule: after scheduled hours
Overtime: All OT must have physician supervisor approval before
leaving that day. If no physician supervisor signature is obtained,
hospital may not compensate for the over time. You will need to add
a shift comment when submitting the work record as to who approved
the OT if the CRNA wants reimbursement.
Locum time card form will be provided during Orientation.
Details surrounding Start times and OT:
Approved Start Time:
7:00a across the board unless assigned case time is prior to
7:30a.
If assigned case is scheduled to start prior to 7:30a, arrival time
is 30 min prior to case time.
Example: hospital start time is 7:00a, CRNA start time is 6:30a
What is Considered Overtime: Hours worked longer than assigned
shift in a given day.
Example: CRNA confirmed/contracted for 8 hours
working more than 8 hours that day
Monday-Friday: 10, 12s, or 8s
Prefer 8-10 shifts minimum.
Need 3-4 locums to offer FTE Mon - Friday. We need locums to pickup
Mondays, and locums who are willing to pickup Fridays and stay the
entire shift time.
Candidates Typical Day-
12-hour/10hr shifts are needed for Midtown and Gateway OR.
8-hour shifts are needed for GI Specialty Center.
Other Job Notes-
Monday-Friday: 10, 12s, or 8s
Prefer locums to give a 3 shift minimum per week.
Need 3-4 locums to offer FTE Mon - Friday. We need locums to pickup
Mondays, and locums who are willing to pickup Fridays and stay the
entire shift time.
Locums are rarely asked to travel between campuses unless there is
an emergency or urgent need.
Between our campuses, we are covering between 35-38 points of
services daily.
Location 1 Job Details:
No OB, or Open Heart.
High volume of GI, Ortho, Neuro, General, Trauma, Uro, Respiratory,
CT, EP, Cardioversions, etc, CRNAs are assigned to a column daily.
They are rarely asked to travel between campuses unless there is an
emergency or urgent need. Between our campuses, we are covering
between 35-38 points of services daily.
Care Model: OR is Supervisory Model with 1 Anesthesiologist
supervising to up to 5 CRNAs
8 Hour and 12 Hour Shifts Available: 8 Hour will primarily be GI
coverage & 12 Hour will primarily be OR coverage.
MD only for all Structural Cases
No OB Required
MD supervises up to 5 CRNAs for other surgeries/procedures.
CRNA will be supported in all regional and general anesthesia by
the supervising anesthesiologist.
Low peds volume and only relatively healthy peds required.
Medication Management: Omnicell, Pyxis
Avg Cases per day: Volume varies widely by daily assignment.
Support Staff: Our CRNAs are supported by OR nursing, Operating
Room Techs, and Patient Care Techs in the ORs and Procedure
Areas.
Location 2 Job Details:
High volume of GI, Ortho, Neuro, General, Trauma, Uro, Respiratory,
CT, EP, Cardioversions, etc, CRNAs are assigned to a column
daily.
Care Model: GI is Supervisory Model with Physician Proceduralist
supervising CRNA
8 Hour and 12 Hour Shifts Available: 8 Hour will primarily be GI
coverage & 12 Hour will primarily be OR coverage.
MD only for all Structural Cases
No OB Required
MD supervises up to 5 CRNAs for other surgeries/procedures.
CRNA will be supported in all regional and general anesthesia by
the supervising anesthesiologist.
Low peds volume and only relatively healthy peds required.
Medication Management: Omnicell, Pyxis
Avg Cases per day: Volume varies widely by daily assignment. Our GI
can be very fast paced doing up to 15 procedures per day
(colonoscopy/EGD)
Support Staff: Our CRNAs are supported by OR nursing, Operating
Room Techs, and Patient Care Techs in the ORs and Procedure
Areas.

All 3 locations:
ACLS, BLS, Case logs: minimum of 250 patients in the past 12 months
and minimum of 425 hours of anesthesia practice in the past 12
months.
Will accept IMLC; CRNAs who have a multistate/compact RN license in
any state OR they must have an Indiana RN license. Cannot accept
temp licenses.
Credentialing Timeframe: 6-8 weeks; as soon as credentialed starts
for any newly onboarded locums
Presentation Timeline: Varies, approximately 2 weeks.
Travel Notes-
NO STIPENDS
Prefer local candidates that can drive in.
Procedures-
Must have 200 cases in the last 12 months in order to be
credentialed
