Job Description:
Performs Triage (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Temperature,
Weight, and Height) at each visitSits down with patient and
completes designated areas of EMRCoordinates blood thinner
medicines for procedures with cardiologistCoordinates post-op pain
medicines with patient's surgeonMonitors the provider buckets in
AthenaWilling to travel to other offices, as neededProvides patient
information to provider prior to patient evaluationIntroduces
patient to providerEnters all pertinent patient information and
notes in EMR softwareScans all applicable patient paperwork and
uploads to EMRPrepares Eval Rooms and Procedure Rooms for patient
encountersCleans Eval Rooms and Procedures Rooms post patient
encountersPerforms patient drug screeningPrepares patients for pain
proceduresAssists provider with Pain ProceduresCares for patients
in RecoveryAssists patient during check out and to their
vehiclesArrives to specified clinic at least 15 minutes before
first patient to allow for preparation of work site (if
traveling)All other duties assigned including duties performed for
affiliates, assigns, lessees, contractors or other third partiesAll
other duties as assignedRequired Skills & Abilities:Exceptional
customer service skillsKnowledge of Medical TerminologyQuickly and
accurately type notes into EMR as provider dictatesStrong computer
and phone skillsEstablishes and maintain effective working
relationships with staff, co-workers, and patientsNavigates
multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while
maintaining a professional, courteous mannerAdvanced knowledge of
healthcare regulatory and compliance policies (e.g.; HIPAA)High
integrity, including maintenance of confidential informationAbility
to exercise good judgment and positively influence others,
including handling confrontations with poise and efficiencyAbility
to help lift patients from procedure table to wheelchair and from
wheelchair to carRegular and reliable attendance, requiredEducation
& Experience:Medical Assistant experience, preferredPain Management
experience, preferredEMR, KASPER, INSPECT knowledge and experience,
preferredIf required to travel for company related purposes:Active,
valid driver 's licenseState minimum coverage vehicle insuranceMust
be able to pass driving history/motor vehicle check upon hire and
maintain an acceptable record thereafterMaintain status as an
approved driver through the HR department, including submitting
required documentation before
