  • Start: 11/18 or 12/2 -- Bi-weekly orientation
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
  • Primary location: Midtown
  • Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
  • Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
  • Patient Population: General medical ICU patients - general cardiac/neuro, respiratory failure, vascular post-surgical, renal failure, sepsis.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 3 years as RN, 1 full year of ICU/Medical ICU/Neuro ICU experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
    • Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessment skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, ETT/vent management (RT available), Initiate/titrate (sedatives, paralytics, cardiac drips, vasoactive, insulin, etc.), sepsis protocols/care, post ROSC therapeutic hypothermia protocol.
    • PREFERRED: CRRT, tPa administration/assessments, massive transfusion (Belmont).
    • Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
      • Schedule Information
      • Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
      • Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh, Deaconess Henderson. 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
      • Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
      • Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)

        • Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to change
        • GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
