  Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a--Travel RN - PACUShift: Mid / 10:30a-11p, 12x3, 36hrs per week--Length: 13 weeksCall: 3 weeknight calls per 6 weeks (11p-7a)1 weekend every 6 weeks (7a-7p or 7p-7a Saturday and Sunday)WILL TAKE CHRISTMAS CALL (determined by unit)Requirements:
  • KY License
  • 2 years of acute care RN experience
  • Post anesthesia care experience
  • Critical care background required
  • Diploma or Associate
  • Norton work history Docusign Required
  • BLS
  • ACLSSkills Required:--- IV insertion--- Blood draws--- PICC/Central Line management:--- A-line management--- CVP--- IABP--- Cardioversion/defibrillation--- Procedural sedation--- CPAP/BiPAP--- Ventilators--- Trach Care--- Epidural/PCA pump--- Continuous bladder irrigation--- Wound vacOther Details:
    • # beds/procedures: 23 PACU beds - approximately 50 cases per day
    • Patient ratio: 2:1 on average - can be 1:1 as needed
    • Need to know how to read tele strips
    • Need--to be able to titrate medication
    • Top diagnosis/procedures: Ortho total joint replacements, GYN and GYN oncology, general surgery
    • Common equipment used: v/x monitoring, forced air warming, polar packs, PCA med pumps
    • Common medications given: Dilaudid, M/S, Fentanyl, Zofran
