• Certification Details
• Ascension Pharmacology Exam and Ascension Medical Surgical Exam are part of the requirements.
• Fit Test documentation should be updated annually.
• Ascension Background Check verifies personal and professional history.
• Ascension Education Verification is required to ensure proper credentials and education background.
  • Job Requirements
  • BLS certification as per AHA guidelines is mandatory.
  • Nursys is required for license verification for nursing in Michigan hospitals.
  • All licensed professionals must have current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment.
  • License activity must be reviewed in all states, not just the state of placement.
    • Schedule Information
    • Contract length is 12 months.
      • Unit Specific Information
      • Unit specific checklist might be required and should be uploaded by the Ascension unit leader within a week of onboarding.
      • A 6-hour pre-hire orientation is required, as evidenced by an attestation that needs to be uploaded by the Agency.
        • Additional Details
        • Travel nursing position.
        • Vaccinations or Positive IGG Titer required.
        • Fit Test is required annually.
        • Hepatitis B documentation for vaccination series completion or declination documentation is needed.
        • Influenza Vaccine needs to be updated every year from Sept 4th, 2023.
        • Proof of immunization or immunity for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella).
        • Varicella (Chickenpox) immunity proof required either by vaccine, immunity, or verified history of illness.
        • Tdap vaccine (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) valid for 10 years from the administered date.
