• Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.

  • Neuro Cardiac ICU - Nights
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
  • Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
  • Patient Population: General medical ICU patients - general cardiac/neuro, respiratory failure, vascular post -surgical, renal failure, sepsis.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 3 years as RN, 1 full year of ICU/Medical ICU/Neuro ICU experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
    • Skillset REQUIRED: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessment skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), ETT/vent management (RT available), Initiate/titrate (sedatives, paralytics, cardiac drips, vasoactive, insulin, etc.), sepsis protocols/care, post ROSC therapeutic hypothermia protocol.
    • PREFERRED: CRRT, tPa administration/assessments, massive transfusion (Belmont).
      • Schedule Information
      • Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
      • Float Requirement: First to float within skillset.
      • Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit Information: 28 beds. Ratio: Days 1:2-3; NOCs 1:2-3; CN rarely takes patients.
        • Unit Strengths: Excellent teamwork and helpful charge nurses.
        • Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs
